$25 BILLION FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY

Developed and implemented an Cumulative Trauma Disorders injury Prevention Training Program to a 1000+ account, customer and support service employees. Humatec developed a customized computer based training program in combination with a hands-on workstation mock-up practice session for staff and management of this financial services institution. Ongoing training for new employees and Return to Work issues involving the Americans with Disabilities Act continues.

 NATIONAL INSURANCE PROVIDER TO FEDERAL EMPLOYEES

Humatec performed Ergonomic Job Analysis in the Mailroom, Document Processing, Claims Processing and Data Entry Departments of this $1 billion insurance corporation. Humatec also assisted in the selection and training of an Ergonomics Team established to provide ongoing support to issues raised by associates in the various departments.

INTERNATIONAL FOOD SCIENCE CORPORATION

Humatec developed and performed Customized Training for the office, greenhouse, and laboratory employees. In addition, Humatec performed a comprehensive Ergonomic Job Analysis of each area and developed specific recommendations for each type of facility. In some instances this required Customized Solutions which required Humatec to Design and Fabricate solutions as well as work with suppliers of equipment to modify the items for specific applications.

INDUSTRIAL AUTOMOTIVE OEM SUPPLIER

Humatec performed Ergonomic Job Analysis on an entire production facility for this international automotive OEM Supplier to the Big Three and foreign transplant automobile manufacturers. Humatec developed and assisted with the implementation of a customized Rotation Schedule utilizing biomechanical, physiological and skill level data in a Just-In-Time Manufacturing environment. Human Factors issues involving computerized displays were also analyzed and solutions developed. Humatec worked with all levels of management and associates to develop and Ergonomics Program including Medical Management, Training, Risk Hazard Identification and Control, Management Commitment and Solution Development.  This project lasted over 2.5 years.

NATIONAL SPORTSWEAR APPAREL COMPANY

Humatec performed detailed micro Ergonomic Job Analysis investigating and analyzing discrete data to determine the possible underlying causes of CTD’s in the production processes.  Human Factors analysis was included looking at cross facility comparisons to determine the effect of different management style and technologies to injury reporting and CTD incidence. Specified solutions were recommended for implementation.

REGIONAL UTILITIES

Humatec performed an Ergonomic Job Analysis on a field task of unloading heavy equipment from a trailer. The analysis consisted on modeling the motion and developing alternative scenarios for evaluation and recommendations. Another project included performing and Ergonomic Job Analysis of unloading of power plant fuel at a dumping station. This included evaluating the effects of vibration, tool design, and force.

NATIONAL ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING MANUFACTURING CO.

Humatec designed, developed and assisted with the establishment of a custom Ergonomics Program for this international architectural lighting manufacturer. Working closely with the union, insurance broker, insurance underwriter, Self Directed Work Teams, Medical providers and management, Humatec developed a detailed two-year implementation plan to help reduce and minimize the future exposure to CTD’s. The program included directly working with the CFO to develop specific goals and return on investment criteria for the implementation of specific engineering and administrative solutions.

AUTOMOTIVE OEM MANUFACTURING COMPANY

Working with a brand new facility, this major OEM supplier to the Big Three and foreign automobile manufacturers, Humatec developed a customized “Stretch and Flex” program and a Job Rotation Plan as well as assisted with specific recommendations on hand tools, workstation setup and design, training, and employee baseline screening for new hires. This ongoing project involves working in conjunction with all levels of management, technical staff, and associates to develop a company Just-In-Time environment oriented to reduction of injuries of the workplace.

NATIONAL PACKAGED FOODS PRINTING CORPORATION

Humatec performed Ergonomic Job Analysis on workstations within the Printing and packaging Departments to identify Ergonomic Risk Factors and to recommend specific engineering and administrative solutions to assist in minimizing employee’s exposure to risk hazards.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AGENCY

Humatec was engaged to develop and implement Ergonomic Training to federal employees from across the nation who came to the national training center. The training consisted on a multimedia approach which also included testing, handout materials, and an overview of various ergonomic topics. 

INTERNATIONAL AEROSPACE CONTRACTOR

Humatec provided Ergonomic Job Analysis services to assist with the combining of several departments to optimize facility layout and production efficiencies while reducing employee exposure to ergonomic risk hazards. Working with employees skilled in precision tooling, Humatec identified the risk hazards and made specific recommendations to help reduce the exposure.  Through the development and implementation of a Human Factors Survey, Humatec was able to identify potential underlying causes of the incidence of CTD’s and comprehensively reduce these risks and costs.

WOOD PRODUCTS MANUFACTURING COMPANY

Humatec assisted with collection and assessment of data necessary for the purpose of developing a Post Hire – Pre Placement Baseline Screening protocol for this residential and commercial wood products company. This project involved working in tandem with the employer and local rehabilitation facility in defining the parameters of which the Screens would be developed.

NATIONAL BUILDING SUPPLY COMPANY

Humatec performed an in-depth Ergonomic Job Analysis of the hand selector positions in the regional distribution center. This involved developing an innovative approach to analysis using computerized models for lifting, pushing, pulling and “what if” scenarios, based upon the investigation, data gathering and evaluations specific recommendations were made by Humatec.  Data was also gathered to assist with the evaluation of future employees for Post Offer Pre-placement, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AGENCY

Humatec performed Ergonomic Job Analysis, Training and Effectiveness Evaluation on field drilling/geology teams. The focus of the work was on the identification of back injuries and methods to manage the exposure to the risk. The uncontrolled environment required innovative strategies to address the concerns and a long term approach to implementation of the strategies.
