Dr. Barbara Kinzig has over 35 years of experience in many aspects of Polymer Science, Plastics Engineering, Material Science and Chemistry. The wide ranging application of her expertise has included Material Characterization, Failure Analysis and Process Improvements. She has directed over 1500 industrial projects involving Paints, Polymers, Lubricants, Additives, Adhesives, Composites, Metals, Metallurgy, Coatings, Plating, Materials of Construction, Space Systems and Inorganic Materials. Her laboratory facilities have allowed her to conduct a broad range of surface spectroscopic analysis, surface chemistry measurements, material characterization studies, and tribological evaluations. She has been the Technical Manager or Principal Investigator of many government prime contracts and subcontracts for the US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, NASA, US Dept. of Energy, US Dept. of Agriculture, Nat. Institutes of Health and Nat. Research Council.   Dr. Kinzig has also served on the  National Academy of Sciences Committee
