Experience

A nationally renowned expert, Dr. Manuta has more than 35 years of experience in understanding and applying fundamental chemical principles. He provides chemical consulting expertise for companies, U.S. federal laboratories, and court cases. Dr. Manuta specializes in applying thermodynamic principles to chemical industry processes, specifically deducing the probabilities of certain chemical reactions taking place. During his career, he developed laboratory methods for the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and developed the underlying theory for the use of one-of-a-kind instrumentation of various online analyzers. He supervised the infrared spectroscopy and gas chromatography laboratory in an U.S. uranium enrichment plant as well as helped introduce several consumer products to the U.S. market. Dr. Manuta served as an aluminum fire expert on the Scientific Panel Investigating Nine Eleven (SPINE), and is knowledgeable in regulatory and scientific standards. Dr. Manuta has authored numerous technical articles and scientific papers, and presented topics on chemistry and related topics in the United States and Canada. He taught chemistry at several universities and served as adjunct professor of physics at Ohio University.
