Mr. Lickteig has been in the occupational safety, health, and environmental fields for over 40 years. In addition to his educational degree in Safety & Health, he has extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of occupational safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene and preventive medicine. Mr. Lickteig’s expertise includes work in construction safety, hearing conservation, air sampling, and fall arrest systems. He has been involved with respirator programs, hazardous waste programs, lead abatement and confined space issues. His significant number of years with the U.S. Navy provided him with a broad spectrum of experience in preventive medicine from hands-on to management roles.   His Navy experience included incident investigation and ‘root causes’.
Mr. Lickteig has professional experience with a wide variety of companies ranging in size from fifteen employees to well over tens of thousands throughout the United States. He has been an instructor for the OSHA Region 7 Training Center for over twenty years. Mr. Lickteig is a certified OSHA Outreach Training instructor in both General Industry and Construction. Federal and state OSHA compliance officers attend his guest lectures/instruction while at the national OSHA Training Institute.
During his US Navy career Mr. Lickteig earned numerous awards: three Navy Commendation Medals; two Navy Achievement Medals;  and an Annual Sr. Enlisted Navy Corpsman
