Mr. Moran is an expert in acoustical engineering with experience in industrial noise control, sound mapping, OSHA and community noise surveys, jet engines, gas turbines and solar turbines. Mr. Moran is adept at managing, designing and engineering large-scale projects. While working with Pratt & Whitney in Poland, he managed and engineered the acoustic design for the company’s multi-million-dollar jet engine test facility project. In England, Mr. Moran managed and engineered the acoustic design for the country’s Solar Turbine – National Grid, a multi-million-dollar project requiring custom-designed acoustics with a high-performance enclosure, cladding and silencing features that didn’t comprise the performance of the gas turbine generating power. Mr. Moran’s expertise includes finite element modeling of acoustic waves for projects, research and predictive simulations, as well as creating proprietary software programs for acoustical calculation and design. Familiar with both domestic and international standards, he is capable of conducting airborne acoustical measurements, including sound and vibration, for evaluation against those standards.
