EXPERIENCE:

Mr. Nelson, founder of Humatec, has over 20 years of experience in the application of Biomechanics, Ergonomics, Human Factors and Product Development. His consulting experience is very broad: from industrial to sports; from federal government to private enterprise; from medical institutions to aerospace. Mr. Nelson's past work has involved customized training for injury prevention; ergonomic job analysis resulting in a rotation schedule which utilized biomechanical, physiological and skill level data; human factors analysis of Cumulative Trauma Disorder in production processes; development of workstation set up and design. He has worked with Olympic athletes in optimizing body dynamics and comparative analysis of U.S. National team members versus foreign teams in order to assist in team selection process. Mr. Nelson has done extensive work in accident reconstruction, vehicle collision analysis, airbags, restraint systems, and whiplash analysis. His work in safety and warnings relative to industrial injuries and railroad injuries is significant. His ergonomic job analysis with employees skilled in precision tooling in the aerospace industry identified risk hazards and a plan for reduction in exposure.

Mr. Nelson's experience in product development has supported needs of NASA, major US airlines, equipment manufacturers, athletes, orthopedic products company and retail store design; all phases of development including product attributes, patents, focus groups, literature review, concept development, competitive analysis and field testing have been completed by him.

Mr. Nelson's litigation support has included research, pre-litigation support, reports, depositions, trial expert witness and exhibit preparation in Municipal, State and Federal courts for both defense and plaintiff attorneys; cases have involved aerospace, transportation, railroad, product liability, ADA, equipment design/failure, sports injuries, hand tool design and safety/warnings to name a few.
