- Why should I apply to join Humatec?
- Humatec is unique in that we provide the benefits of the traditional expert’s business models without the disadvantages. This is because Humatec was started by, and is owned by, a testifying expert witness, William Nelson. Mr. Nelson was frustrated with the existing business models since they were either “pay to play” database models or being a “name in the database” with no real control over your future. The only alternative was to work for a larger organization which meant lower pay, more overhead, less freedom to pick and choose cases, someone telling you what to do, and all the headaches of working for someone else.

This puts the control in the hands of those doing the work, knowing that they have the support of Humatec behind them. - How much does it cost to join Humatec?
- It cost you nothing to apply and if you are accepted into membership, there is no ongoing cost to you either! We offer different programs for our experts depending on the type of support needed; however, the cost associated with the type of service is included in the fees charged to our client
- Is Humatec a broker, agency, or simple online website database?
- No! Humatec does not broker a deal with an attorney! We are also much more than a simple database of hundreds of unvetted experts leaving the client to figure out who might be the most appropriate expert for their case. What separates Humatec from any other expert witness firm is that we are focused on how we can best serve our members; from a simple website presence all the way to actively searching our database of active lawsuits for potential client leads
- What benefits does Humatec offer their Member Experts?
- We offer our Members the benefits of our optional HELP Program (Humatec Expert Litigation Protection Program). The HELP Program is like having your own back-office support staff without the cost and overhead. These services include Secure Remote Access Server, Humatec email address, Project Management, Case Management, and Administrative support during the case. There is no cost to you for these benefits!
- In addition, we offer our Members the benefits of our optional HELP+ Program. This is like having the benefits of a larger organization without the cost and overhead. These include the exclusive Humatec services of Expert Report Peer Review, Deposition & Trial Preparation, E&O Insurance coverage and case Legal assistance with deposition issues, subpoenas, affidavits, and related legal questions. There is no cost to you for these benefits!
- For those wanting the ultimate in active marketing, Humatec offers the CSI Program; Case Search Initiative Program. Humatec’s exclusive CSI Program searches our active lawsuit database to help find cases which closely align with the expert’s expertise areas.
- If I join Humatec, do I have to work exclusively for Humatec?
- No! We believe our level of services will make you want to do your cases through Humatec once you experience the wide range of benefits we offer to our members.
- We do have one program, the Alliance, for those experts who would like to have the highest level of services. This includes the opportunity to also earn yearly financial rewards based on the amount of billable hours the expert spends on Humatec cases throughout the year. All the other categories of programs allow our members to do work for themselves or others.
